Hawk Hill is a wonderful, award winning small publishing company here in Marin County. When Ned and Jody Martin first came to us, not only was their website visually uninteresting, if you wanted to buy one of their gorgeous books you had to go through the time consuming process of printing and mailing out their order form. Worse yet, they could not be found in Google--even if you searched for the company name!

The Re-Design

• Retooled the existing logo for more presence
• Added beautiful top banner for interest
• Changed text/ background for better readability
• Hawk Hill books are full color, stunningly beautiful coffee table books, but their old website did nothing to showcase this to potential customers. We fixed this by creating a photo gallery for each one of their books
• Added reviews and awards for each book

• Custom Banner for PayPal page

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

As for the SEO on this site, Hawk Hill was in pretty desperate shape in the beginning. Even typing "Hawk Hill Press" into Google (or one of their book titles) showed only links to Amazon.com. After working with Blue Oak, not only do they show for their chosen keywords, they get 1st page results!
